Thanksgiving Weekend

HAPPY THANKGIVING TO EVERYONE...... hope you are all enjoying a yummy thanksgiving dinner. Well this was a beautiful weekend, it was just like a summer here it was nice and warm and sunny all weekend especially yesterday.. Lee went duck hunting on Saturday morning and he had a great time. He went with a guy from work... they left at 5:30 in the morning and stayed out until lunch time and he didn't come home with a duck but had a pumpkin for the boys and a head of broccoli and japlapeno peppers. After that trip he was pretty tired so I went on out to the mall with the boys and he had a nap. Man were the malls BUSY.... It was just like christmas shopping out there on Saturday.. there was nowhere to park and the streets were lined up with cars.... Sooo I did not stay out at that for long. It was just to hard lugging the both of them for the other end of the parking lot with not a cart in site.....So I get home and Lee was up and gone trying to look for me in the madness so I figured the best plan would be to stay home and wait for him to come back, which I did. So that night we went out to Lee's moms and Lee went back for another nap and Laverne and I got the movie Capote which both of us enjoyed alot .. it was a really good movie and what an actor that Philip Seymour Hoffman was; he did an excellent job acting Truman Capote.....

On Sunday Laverne had to work and she had quite a few rooms so we went out at 12:30 to start the turkey supper. It was 17 degrees outside and a beautiful day. I had the boys all dressed up for thanksgiving and of course forgot my camera home... so no thanksgiving pictures...... but it sure was a good turkey supper topped with apple pie and ice cream .... We are so thankful that we are able to have a supper like that and I was ready to explode by the time I was finished. We relaxed out there a little and called poppy Jim to wish him a happy thanksgiving and then we came on home. Mom and dad were out to St. Johns to visit auntie Renee and she has a computer there so I put the boys on the webcam for them and they certainly enjoyed that ... I miss them so much I can't wait to see them at christmas.. I wish that they were able to see the boys more often..... with any luck they will soon if we can ever move back home......

Last night Ryan was bugging to use the pumpkin carving kit that we bought, so Lee carved the little pumpkin that he got on Saturday and I did manage to get some pictures of that.... he did a good job with the pumpkin and Ryan and Tyler enjoyed watching him carve it and seeing the end result.......
So that was basically our weekend; Lee is back to work today and I am thinking about taking the kids out to the park or somewhere because its sunny and 20 degrees here today and I don't think that we are going to see much more of that.

I love reading your blog, Janis.
You and Lee are doing a great job raising your boys. They will certainly have some great memories of their childhood.
Keep on bloggin!!!!!
